Healthy Schools

The health and welfare of our students should be a top concern for all of us.

*Increased funding for more school counselors, psychologists, and social workers. These people are highly trained, and assist our teachers in preventing bullying as well as making sure that our students' mental health needs are taken care of. They are also the front line for helping teach positive mental health skills.

*Alternate Recess on bad air days. Elementary aged students need to be engaged and active during recess so that they can be refocused when returning to the classroom. This is especially important on days when students are stuck inside due to bad weather or bad air.
